Spring cleaning… what most of us do to clear out the dust accumulation of being closed indoors for the long cold winter… Also, a time used to downsize, clear out and lighten our load. All wonderful and invigorating things to do to shake off winter. Yet, we tend to leave things at that, clean and cleared.
But why not take things through to the next logical step; renewal. Here we stand refreshed so what better time to take a step or two forward as someone new. Nothing drastic, unless you have done your homework and are prepared, just a simple change in attitude or way of living. Something more positive and enlivening.
The seeds of winter germinate in the springtime in preparation for summer’s growth and you too can prepare for changes by selecting and planting your new seeds. Let this time of lengthening days and warming sun thaw what needs be thawed, to invigorate what has lain dormant for too long. Go outdoors, walk, breathe, expand your gaze forward, beyond the confines of four walls.
When you open your heart to discovery, you will be called to step outside the comfort barriers within which you have fortified your life. You will be called to risk old views and thoughts and to step off the circle of routine and image. This will often bring turbulence. The pendulum will fix at times on one extreme, and you will be out of balance. But your soul loves the danger of growth. In its own wise trust, your soul will always return you to a place of real and vital equilibrium.
