Signs from Spirit can help sustain us through trying times and today, I experienced such a sign…a single, pure white feather, standing upright in the stone courtyard of Kilmainham Gaol, in Dublin, Ireland.
Droplets of rain stood out like teardrops on its surface. A most appropriate tribute to the sorrows this place has seen, from containing the starving and the destitute, caught stealing or begging for food and clothing, to those interned and executed during rebellions, uprisings and finally The War of Independence.
This single feather, a sign from Spirit, helped me to endure this important tour, as, being sensitive, the energies of this place were quickly, and deeply felt. This feather conveyed to me the message of being where I needed to be and it portrayed a message of hope to be shared. Hope for peace and reconciliation. Hope for forgiveness and peace.
If we are open and watchful, there are always signs for us to grasp onto when in need. For me, feathers have always been a significant tool, used by my loved ones in spirit and by my guides. I find them placed in opportune locations or find them to suddenly appear in answer to a question of importance that has formed in my mind.
Some people find coins, or other items of particular significance to them, as a means of communication from the Spirit Realm. Reminders that we are never truly alone…
If we allow it, we can easily find these signs all around us, as our spirit friends and loved ones delight in letting us know that they are here for us.
