Intuition, Guidance and Faith…

So difficult to know what is our intuition versus our mind’s chatter (our ego). So difficult to have faith when faced with challenges…

How do we know when we are following our desire for something to happen or when we are actually receiving inner guidance from our higher-self or from our spirit guides? That inner voice, our intuition, is just a whisper most times and in our busy, noisy lives, it is indeed a challenge to hear it, let alone acknowledge it.

Sometimes, intuition is as simple as perceiving the feeling that you should take a different route home, or leave a few minutes earlier or later. You might find out that you missed something “well-missed” or that you encountered someone or something that you would not normally have. Sometimes, it is the feeling of what is right or what is wrong, following your “gut instinct.” Learning to recognize that inner voice happens through the practice of awareness. The more aware we are of what is going on, not only in the outer world, but within our inner world, the more we will be able to hear our guidance.
By consciously connecting to our spirit guides, either through meditation or by other means such as the tarot, we can also find help in navigating our way through this life. But again, we need to be aware of how we perceive this guidance…

Gift or test? A question I have asked myself a lot recently. When we choose to follow our spiritual side, we become acutely aware of questions such as this. Life becomes more complex as we strive to learn and to grow, working our way through our lessons. Following this path, life also becomes simplified, as we learn to ask our spiritual support system for assistance; a dilemma to know which is occurring at any given time. This is where faith comes in…

Faith, a topic that I have covered before in my writing, (Faith, Easier Said Than Done) is a very personal matter. It is imperative that we develop faith in ourselves, our intuition and our guides, for it is faith that will see us through our challenges. Faith that the reason for something not working out as planned, is part of the bigger picture.

I am again, at that crossroad in my life, the one where I stand wondering, “why?” I followed my guidance and put my house up for sale, secure in the fact that previous influences had been dealt with and that the way was clear for a quick sale. Here I stand again, watching the For Sale sign be taken down, knowing I am to remain put for now. Faith that there is something in the wings, something not yet ready to bloom into fruition, that will keep me here for a while longer, is what I lean on. Faith that I am secure in my guidance and that all will turn out well…

Two years ago, I did not know of the Spiritualist Church, I did not know my son had grown up in the Spirit Realm, I did not know so very much. Two years ago, as I sat wondering why the house did not sell, my husband came through as I tried to find the answers and my path was changed forever. (Spiritualism, My Journey Begins.)

We always have the choice to believe or not to believe in our ways. I continue to choose to believe, and being human, continue to question why. But, I am no longer a child. I understand that the road I take will always have bumps and detours and that they are not always about me. Sometimes, I am a part of someone else’s journey and delays or changes in direction are, in the end, the way it was always meant to be. Time will tell…
