On a recent evening stroll, I came across a lilac tree in full boom. The fragrance of lilacs, this springtime, has been heady. The moist spring weather has encouraged phenomenal blossoms and their scent permeates the evening air. The deep, rich purple color of this particular tree bade me stop a moment to take in its full beauty.
Recently, I viewed a series of DVDs of the music of the ‘60s, created by PBS, that took me back to my teenage years. As I watched the audience relive their youth, singing and dancing to the notes of their formative years, I was drawn to look through pictures of those early days of my life.
